Cottage
Owls Rattle is a late 18th century farm workers' cottage set on the very edge of the Dartmoor National Park.
We have two letting rooms, a standard double with private bathroom with shower, and a larger king-size double with adjoining room with bunk beds, and private bathroom with shower.
Our guests also have the use of a sitting room with a log burning fire. Breakfast is served in the old kitchen, and we use eggs from our free range hens (you can collect your own if you like!), dry cure bacon and hand made sausages that come from our own butchery business in Totnes (McCabe's Butchers Limited).
We have ample parking, flexible check-in times after 4pm and dietary requirements can be met with prior arrangement. Well behaved dogs are most welcome, and there are plenty of walks directly from the house.
There are good pubs and restaurants locally and on the moor, we are two miles from the lovely town of Ashburton and ten miles from Totnes with all its quirky shops and cafés.
